If you are looking for the conservatory in the six-acre Conservatory Garden you are out of luck, it was demolished in 1934 because it was too expensive to keep the glass structure maintained. But if you want to see some beautiful formal gardens and statues, enter through the Vanderbilt Gate at East 105th street and wander the three gardens representing different landscape styles: Italian, French, and English. The Three Girls in a Fountain is my favorite.
