NY- Hurricane Sandy, The Morning After

There wasn’t a lot of opportunity to take pictures after Hurricane Sandy. Unlike Irene, she really walloped the city. The only time I got to shoot was the morning after, where I walked down Broadway from the Upper Westside to Times Square. Then friends started migrating North and since we had power we quickly filled up to 7 people. It was like a week long slumber party and I was the cook.

I thought it was funny that I went from seeing trees fallen across Broadway to people watching soft porn ads on the big boards in Times Square. They might not have had power below 42nd, but above, Times Square advertiser’s were trying to give people as much juice as they could.
