As Spring battles to take hold in our cold and windy city, I decided to do one of my photographic pilgrimages and take the 2 train to Canal Street and walk over and up Greene. We are still waiting for a little of that global warming to get us out of the Seattle on The Hudson weather we are suffering.

It will come as no surprise to my loyal fans and followers that I have not been posting as many pictures as usual. That is because I have been doing a lot more commercial work, which is a good thing. I find that working within a clients framework is both intense and satisfying, but I certainly have to pull in the reigns a bit and turn in pictures that are much more realistic than what I put up here. But every once in a while the faux print sits in the chemical bath a bit longer than needed and you get what you get below. These were taken on shoots for my client Manhattan Stagers, two of the most talented and succesful designers in the home staging field that I know.

I got invited to the Season Premier Party for the Bravo Show, Million Dollar Listing, at the Catch Roof in the Meatpacking District. What a partyn and for anyone that hasn't been to a premier party I highly recommend it.

My sons team was playing a soccer game in Jersey City and it was cold. So while they warmed up I took drive down the road and it ended here. Beautiful views of Southern Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. Who new?

I love downtown. It never ceases to amaze me that even though we now inhabit every inch of this rock, for the first few hundred years, almost the entire livelihood of the inhabitants took place behind a wall on the south end of the island. The birthplace of the Stock Exchange, although the financial business is now spread out all over the place, this neighborhood has taken on a whole new life as residential enclave sitting on every subway line that runs through the city. A friend of mine, Eddie Shapiro turned me on to this little jewel designed by the same architects as Rockefeller Center, and sitting right in the middle of this new renewed purlieu.
