It was a hard charging crowd tonight in Columbus Circle. Everyone seemed to have someplace to get to fast. I don’t blame them. It was a beautiful hot summer night and work clothes just got in the way.

What a long wet, cold Spring we had this year in New York. It will not be missed by me.

I consider this area to be my cradle of creativity. Anytime I need a push or can’t figure where I want to go and shoot, all I need to to do is go to Columbus Circle and start snapping. It has never failed me.

We got hit with quite a squall this afternoon that was supposed to turn to rain. It didn’t and now the streets and sidewalks are set to freeze tonight. :-)

Great artists must think alike. How else can explain the onslaught of easels and painters at the USS Maine Memorial at the Merchants Gate in Central Park.
