NY- Lizards & Snakes: Alive, American Museum of Natural History

The American Museum of Natural History is “Hands Down” my kids favorite museum in New York City. It covers an entire 2 square blocks between 79th and 81st, Columbus and Central Park West, and boasts it”s own Subway stop on the B and C lines. The museum houses on 4 floors one of the greatest collections of stuff about our history and the history of our planet.

If you are visiting New York with kids this is one place you have to go.

The Lizards and Snakes: Alive! – Showcasing more than 60 live animals representing 27 species from all over the world and their remarkable adaptations, including projectile tongues, deadly venom, amazing camouflage, and sometimes surprising modes of locomotion. Now through January 7, 2007.
