The New York Police Department, God Bless Them, has these amazing quick response teams traveling around the city in groups, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These mechanical cavalries can range in size from a handful of squad cars to very large groups of 50 or more, like the one I saw at Lincoln Center the other day.

It is really quite impressive to watch them go speed away like a synchronized stunt team off to their next rendezvous point.
