I can imagine that surgery was not a pleasant experience back in 1891, when the first operating room, Wm. J. Syms Operating Theater, was built. Not that it is anything enjoyable today.

I took these pictures in the early morning. When I looked at them I was amazed at how fast the people were moving. You can really see the Rush in rush our as they fly past the Church of Saint Paul The Apostle and zip by Starbucks at 59th and Ninth Avenue.
