NY- It’s Summer, It’s Friday, It’s the Village People 3

I am not a Hamptons Guy. I’ve been there. It’s nice. But I would rather stay in the city.

Summer is my favorite time in New York. There are people everywhere, but it’s not crowded. Everyone is hot and sweaty, but that is good. And even though the sun has taken your appetite, you can get a meal at any restaurant by walking in the door. Except The Waverly Inn, you’ll never get in.

I took the subway to West 8th Street, grabbed a cup of coffee at the Starbucks across the street from Cooper Union. I Thanked God for putting bold roast back on the menu, and then set off to St Marks Place. The people watching was great and I made my way back around to Washington Square Park, which was teeming with activity.
