One of the most popular tourist destinations in all of Central Park is the “Imagine” mosaic in Strawberry Fields which sits right outside John Lennon’s old house in The Dakota Apartments at W.72nd and CPW. You will usually find the tiles it loaded with memorabilia left by his many fans, and decorated with flowers, courtesy of the self proclaimed “Mayor of Strawberry Fields”, a homeless man who is present almost everyday giving free lectures on life and times of John Lennon.
