NY- The venerable Gary Dennis is closing Movie Place, 237 West 105th at Broadway, after 23 years and is auctioning off what is considered one of the greatest private collections of DVD’s and videos ever assembled!
Just in time for Christmas, one lucky videophile will end up with Gary Dennis’ collection of over 18,000 catalogued DVD’s. Gary has loads of very rare and out of print DVD’s that he has amassed over the last 23 years running The Movie Place. He has put the collection up as a single block on EBay, and one lucky bidder will have what is considered one of the best collection of DVD’s ever amassed.
Gary Dennis, a popular local celebrity and movie critic, was memorialized by the Upper Westside’s paper of record on Sunday with a glowing tribute to his 23 years as a neighborhood institution and all around beloved character.
