If you get off the #1, 2, or 3 train at Chambers Street and head north, you can wander aimlessly through the old brick streets of Tribeca and eventually find yourself crossing Canal street in to Tribeca. As long as you keep going north, you can always take a left at any of the main thoroughfares and end up at a subway station.
