Like an an environmentalist jetting off to Switzerland on her Gulfstream to attend a conference about getting people to reduce their carbon footprint, the Science Barge arrived at the West 70th street Pier. Pushed in by a diesel tug and locked in to place by a diesel crane, the science barge managed to offset it’s carbon savings by a factor of 20,000 times, setting the environment back on the Upper West Side back to its’ pre 1980 levels.
