The first time I laid eyes on the plot that is now Riverside Park South, it was covered in illegally dumped cars and trash. Anyone who is a fan of Law and Order series will remember in the early episodes this is where they always seemed to find the dead prostitute or heroin junkie’s body.

Donald Trump promised to build one of New York’s grandest parks and set up a trust for all the neighbors living at his Trump Place apartments to pay for its construction and upkeep. They have almost completed to riverfront portion. The final stage is a playground for older kids with a full size New York Central Railroad locomotive as its draw. I assume the remainder will be completed after they finish building #17 and get the construction equipment off the grounds.
