There is a life sized statue of Saint Joan of Arc on her horse sculpted by Anna Vaughn Hyatt. It was dedicated in 1915 and was actually the first statue in New York City of a woman who was not a fictional character. I wonder who the preceding statues were of? It sits in a nice little oasis in Riverside Park sandwiched between the residential off-shoot and main artery of Riverside Drive at 93rd Street.
