In exchange for allowing Disney to premier its’ animated movie “Pocahantas” on the Great Lawn the studio donated enough money for the city to completely restore the fields on the Great Lawn. Now it is a haven for sunbathers and sports nuts alike who co-mingle on the grass all summer long.
